You gonna make people sick! Seems a big lack of basic food safety standards training. As well as basic customer service. Security gaurd always on their phone, poor, poor, poor!

Firstly - cleanliness is a big issue. Walking around this shed is like trying to navigate through a maze full of trollies, items or packaging on the floor from trying to restock and the graveyard shift staff whom would benefit from a customer service lesson or 2. Having worked in a shop/supermarket retail i understand the demand for customer service can be high, having to engage with customers in a friendly mannor and being polite is essential. THIS BRANCH IS NOT CUSTOMER FOCUSED. Checkout staff are rude, blunt and rushed. Having to prompt staff for a bag is like a chor for them even then you have a flimsy bag thrown at you. Staff members behing the tills are having personal/private convos with each other whilst they stand there munching on a bag of prawn cocktail walkers.... where i hope they would have washed their hands before handling groceries rather than wipe their hand across a stained pair of tight fit jeans.... there was a glint of hope when i walked in 1 day a saw a CLEANER i was amazed until i waited to be served at the tills. Observing this "so called cleaner" who was not in any uniform apart from a pair of yellow marigolds, sweep around the empty flower buckets, then proceed to pick up a scrap of paper off the floor, when she wasnt able to due to it being stuck to the floor, it was left.. no attempt to fix her challenging situation but returned to sweep around her buckets. The location of this branch is surrounded by mostly the older generation a trip to the local shop can be the highlight of some peoples day, a warm welcoming smile at the end of a long hard shift is always appreciated but never offered. After being servered by the staff i thank them and wish them a goodnight or a good day where it seems to be recieved of deaf ears or pure ignorance to where i am ignored and not acknowledged.. Please for the communities sake pull your staff out of there, deep clean and put in a customer focued team and the results will be outstanding, To be honest anything will be better than what it is now, i would rather drive 2/3 miles to an asda than continue using this branch.
