Teignmouth Post Office

The woman behind the counter today was patronising and just plain rude, clearly some customer service training needed here.

Poor service from staff, always up selling the most expensive delivery with phrases such as "this item can only be sent through next day special delivery, I'm afraid" and then when you question it, they pretend to 'suddenly find a loophole' and make out they are doing you a favor (when you are selling something straight forward at a low value may I add) They are obviously bonused in one way or another.. literally the worst post office I have ever used. Have had poor, rude service on multiple occasions, and will now seek services from elsewhere.. truly poor, and by the looks of the other reviews here, something needs to be done.

I can't fault the staff but I do find fault with the procedures. The policy of allowing people to collect travel money by queue jumping is totally wrong. People who stand in the queue to pay for a service are paying customers just as a person collecting foreign money. There seems to be a habit of backroom staff or manager interacting with staff (counting stamps, money or something else) when customers need serving. Selling of insurance, broadband and other non postal items seems to distract staff from the service that the majority of customers go into a post office for, ie postal services.

I find the post office staff very unfriendly & always seem so busy! too stressed to be warm & welcoming!

Truly abysmal Customer service - I would use the office in Newton abbot or Bishopsteignton before returning here
