Pete is a very talented comic / cartoon style sculptor, who has claim to fame attached to the original but recently revived Spitting Image! He's a bit if a quiet icon really. Shame he hasn't got photos of his work online because it deserves to be more widely shared. If you are in Teignmouth do pay visit to his modest but charming shop. Last I heard he was still doing cartoon likenesses from photos in things like costume caracatures. Mostly for overseas market but really not overpriced for the work and originality of his craft.

I remember when Petes People was in Kensington Gardens in Brighton back in the 70s. In 1975 I was 21 and my parents had a butcher with a block and tools made for my birthday and I still have it today in mint condition. I am hoping to leave it for my kids and grandkids to enjoy looking at and remembering me. I also secretly want them to be able to take it to the antiques roadshow in 50 years and be told its a unique, hand made item made by a craftsman and because nobody has ever seen one like it before, then it would probably fetch a 1million at auction I have always loved it.
