Ed and Richard did a fantastic job remodelling our garden. We had a relatively small rear garden which was in desperate need of improving, refreshing and redesigning; including new paving and feature seating acting to separate the patio from the lawn. Ed designed and built the timber seat from scratch and we couldn't be happier with the result! It was a difficult job with the only access via a side gate and path but nothing was too much trouble. They arrived punctually every morning (some days earlier!) and worked incredibly hard all day. They were extremely polite and the job was completed to a very high standard. Richard and Ed remodelled our bathroom. They took 2 adjoining bathrooms and knocked through to form one larger space. The refitting was complex due to space constraints, uneven floor and a solid wall preventing running of waste pipes. They coped with every constraint and problem solved in full, open discussion to ensure the job kept to time and provided exactly the vision we had at the start. The workmanship was excellent, with a good eye for detail finishes that delivered exactly the luxury feel we wanted from the bathroom. They were supported with first rate trades from their network, and coordinated them well which was tricky given COVID restrictions and an impending Christmas holiday period. Professional, detailed, trust worthy and exceptionally tidy. We were so impressed we are asking them back for an en suite refurbishment. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Richard and Ed.

My wife and I bought a large, rather tired and run-down property in South Devon with a view to renovating and upgrading it. Richard and Ed Farmer were recommended to us to carry out the building renovations and internal structural modifications. The work has taken just over two years, the bulk of it carried out in the first six months and the remainder sporadically over the next twenty months. Richard was the lead contractor for all building works and he also used his extensive knowledge of good quality local tradesmen to appoint specialist sub-contractors who completed all work to a high standard. The scope of work included external and internal structural modifications, rendering, plastering, lining out of rooms, the construction of a new bathroom, general carpentry and the renovation and rehanging of all internal doors. Externally work included earthworks, brick and block laying, landscaping, the construction of a terraced patio and tarmac works. It was clear from the very beginning that Richard and Ed knew what they were doing and carried out the work competently while maintaining a sense of humour. Jobs were completed on time and to budget - with the exception of any emerging work which was priced when the revised scope of work became clear.

Richard and Ed returned to our house after masterminding and delivering major renovations in 2016 and this time planned and installed a new kitchen for us. They dealt with the kitchen supplier and all the ancillary trades. We were away for the 2 weeks of the project. They had access to our house keys and alarm during this period. Not only are they great workers and very focussed on detail and finish but they are 100% trustworthy. They are The Best in the West as far as we are concerned. Many thanks Richard and Ed.
