I was part of a work trip. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and private. We were able to enjoy the beautiful gardens whilst chatting over s glass of wine late into the evening. The owners are very friendly and helpful offering advice of places to eat in the evening. Breakfast is a communal table in the main house where guests can exchange pleasantries whilst enjoying a hearty breakfast or lighter continental option. Having left my phone charger behind Caroline kindly called to let me know it had been found and posted back to me.

We had a delightful stay here and made most welcome by the host Caroline. First day was spend sitting on the front lawn taking in the peace and quiet and Caroline joined us to provide suggestions for visiting the local area. As well as a bowl of home picked plums to enjoy. The room we stayed in was Les Martin's and part of the converted stables. Entry is ground floor and the room is accessed by stairs to a mezzanine level. The decor is very quaint and furnished with lots of books, trinkets, lamps and period furniture. Also a lounge area for reading and relaxing. Comfortable bed and en suite was just what we needed. Breakfast was served from 8am in the main farmhouse in a delightful old room with a huge fireplace. The choice or cereals, toast, juice and fruits were more than adequate, as was the full english breakfast. We would not hesitate to return here, maybe with our dog as it is pet friendly. If you are looking for a quintessential English experience then look no further. This is the place to stay. Thank you Caroline. We will be back.
