The Village, Whitchurch

Lovely, friendly shop and post office. The pasties and sausage rolls they cook on site are yummy and fresh, never bring stuck in the heater for too long. For a small shop they have a great range of products and the amount of customers throughout the day demonstrates how well respected they are in the community. I look forward to the days I work in Whitchurch so I can pay a visit!

I requested a tracked parcel to France to arrive at the address in a week and insured incase it got lost. Was sent economy which is the complete opposite to what I asked. They apologised many times for their error and which had to go parcel force Plymouth to try and get answers on when it will arrive, to be told up to 3 months! When I went back to them the guy that assumed owns it then cold me a liar even though I had been back to update them on their mistake 2/3 time prior, and that his staff member never made a mistake even after all his other staff apologising for their mistake. I have all the proof and still have but post office complaints where just as bad. Will never step for in this place again while that disgraceful man leaves! Total of 3 1/2 months without a car because my part wouldnt be fixed in the timeframe. Terrible!

After a recent visit for post office I was barged past by short "Mohican" hair styled woman who made attempt at social distancing to ask me if I was using post office! Then without even checking to see if my LARGE letter would fit in envelope measure proceed to charge me for a small parcel which is double the price. Utterly stunned by lack of social distancing prior to this and the fact she worked here I payed and left as a confrontation could cause the a spread of covid 19. As she had a complete lack of disrespect for social distancing I really didn't want to take my chances as my partner is a key worker, this is shameful behaviour of a local independent business who are taking advantage of current situation just to boost sales.
