Great service, know their products and have a good offering. Do buy the freshly made that day pasta - phenomenal. Some of the best weve had. Seriously good shop to keep spending your money in, sincerely, a former deli owner!

So, my partner and I finally got a week away. We went to Tavistock, which is a beautiful town, lots of small friendly shop. The locals are also very friendly. We walked past this shop (De La Torres) and I spied some little Italian pastries in the window - having tried these in Italy, I was keen for my partner to try some. I put one foot through the door and the man behind the counter immediately barked, have you got a face covering?" I told him I did and put it on straight away. However, he had already walked away and was shuffling around in a back room, completely ignoring me. After a minute or two, he returned, and I asked him for six of the little, delicate pastries. He grabbed a paper bag and started to roughly throw the pastries in! I passed him a ten pound note to pay, and he rudely and very sharply barked that he only accepted cards. No eye contact, no customer service, at all! By this time, I was actually disgusted by the whole event, and more so by his total lack of respect for his customer and the product he was trying to sell. So, I decided to keep my money and left. The little man stood in his shop window and glared at me. I have never been treated so disgustingly, and it's such a shame, as EVERY other shop we visited in Tavistock had such lovely staff/owners, they all took cash and none of them INSISTED we wore face coverings. Having looked into this shop, it would seem that I am not the only one who has been unfortunate with this person. I have also just had a message on facebook suggesting that I am a coward and that I hide on the internet. Well Mr Swarbrick, I am far from a coward and this review is based my genuine experience in your shop.
