Tomato and pepper soup in minuscule bowl with a grotty brown roll, not mixed properly streaks of white through it. Pappy and horrible, can taste the cold where its been frozen.. 6.00 !!!! Total rip off !! The bowl has a thick base making it look bigger. Soup had a strange twang to it. Walking away very hungry!! So much for my treat to myself. Never again. I hate being conned

We have been going to TGC for years, and often stopped at Magnolias. Only out of convenience, not preference. It has seldom been an uplifting experiance. It appears to be run by a large number of mature ladies who are probably excellent cooks and nutritionists in their own homes, and think it works in a mass catering establishment. The layout, the system, the customer awareness, just about everything about this place is amateurish and chaotic. On our last visit a week ago, we sat waiting for 20 minutes for our main meal, which gave us plenty of time to notice a considerable number of 'finished' plates being collected, with uneaten food left on them. We also noticed that hot, uncovered meals were being carried to the tables by the longest possible route. I went to the counter to enquire about our meals, producing our receipt, and after a few minutes was told our order did not exist, it had got lost between the counter and the kitchen, at which point we gave up and asked for our money back, and left.
