Studied a year of my degree here. Worst experience of education in my life.. for many reasons, not just ones listed: You're always told that if you had any concerns or questions then to just email the tutor(s), however the majority of the time you never get replies. When shown around at one of the open evenings by a member of staff, I was shown the art shop in the art department; This was a huge positive for me to have the shop in the department, and influenced my decision to choose this university to go to, so when I started in September to find out it had been moved and opening hours been cut?!? This is a huge huge deal, and to not tell students who made their decision on where to study partly on this is just sneaky ( and following on from that the course wasn't what was described to me- completely different in fact!!) The quality and engagement of lectures were not what I expected at university level at all; They were rushed and not inspiring at all. The environment of the department was always extremely stressed and so so unsupportive most of the time Please, consider going elsewhere for the sake of your own sanity. You'll really regret it.

Most of my tutors bar a few weren't very good, Being a stand alone dweeb in an environment filled with people that you don't click with kind of gets you ignored and forgotten about, and i was very much like this during my time there, i was there but it didn't feel like i was there so to speak. I don't know if it's altered much since but i doubt it. Things change as time goes on but these kind of things tend to stay the same.

I attended this college twice, first to study Game Design and the second time to study Music Performance and to say the whole experience was condescending would bed an understatement, during Game Design we spent more time learning how to make and organise folders on a PC than learning how to make games. When it came to the music course most of our time was essentially free period where we were just left to our own devices to essentially teach ourselves, I ended up leaving with no qualifications because we weren't taught anything related to the courses. The only reason I'm rating 3 stars is because the times I did actually get to practice music were actually pretty good and I met quite a few awesome young musicians who are now off doing great things however most of them failed the music course here. I now travel around the UK performing at conventions infront of thousands of people but none of that was thanks to this college.
