We have recently purchased a car from Taunton Ford and we dealt with the sales consultant Rob Dyer. He was really friendly, knowledgeable and we felt like he was trying to help us get the car we wanted, rather than just pushing for a sale.

BEWARE paid 99 to reserve a car online . Had a email confirmation congratulating me shortly after , then the next day had a phone call saying they had sold the car two days earlier. Seems strange because a day after they sold the vehicle I had a email off the branch manager asking me if I wanted to get in touch with him to proceed with a sale ?

So, booked my 2012 mondeo in with these guys as the alternator had gone in December. They couldn't fit me in till about 2 weeks later, in Jan. I booked in for a new alternator and to check the ECU for evidence of any potential spike that may have caused the damage to the old alternator, this was an extra 150. When I collected it, at 5pm in January, the trim that covers the ECU point in the drivers footwell was damaged, broken in fact, and now won't go back in. The osr tyre was so flat it was like a pancake (luckily a mechanic in the bay was available to pump it up, but had I not noticed it I could've just driven out). When I asked for the read out from the ECU a few days later, I was told "oh, we can't check for any spikes in the readings"....yet they charged me for exactly that. They had 2 weeks to advise that they couldn't do that check but they didnt. They obviously didn't check the car over after fitting the alternator, not even a glance because they would've seen the flat tyre and they broke trim but didn't say anything. Just avoid this dealership at all costs.
