Missed bin collection. Reported on their website. They asked me to put the bin kerbside and theyd be back to collect within 2 days. 4 days later and they havent been back and the bin is still kerbside on the pavement which is an inconvenience for my neighbours. Made a complaint and got a generic, useless response. Recently moved to Somerset from Suffolk. Somersets waste management is a shambles compared to Suffolk and their customer service non existent. Garden waste collection team went above and beyond and provided great service.

I wouldnt recommend making a complaint. I encountered an issue in Shepton Mallet with a recycling collector who drove his vehicle abruptly, right up onto the narrow pavement I was walking on with my two dogs, without any indication of what he was about to do. He could have stopped the manoeuvre, or simply waited until I had passed the section of the pavement Id already started walking on (wouldve taken seconds), but he decided not to, putting all three of us in danger. The CCTV was apparently reviewed and the email response from the manager lacked any form of accountability. SWP are lucky that no injury was caused in this case, as I wouldve taken further action.
