Back in 2020 I reported an issue to KwikChex. There appeared to be a significant number of fake reviews on a well known reviews website about a company I was looking to register with. I realised the reviews were fake after I nearly fell victim to the company's unsolicited charges. Fortunately, I was quick to take action on my bank's side.
So I reported the reviews to KwikChex and they have done a very thorough investigation. They verified the issues that I was having, collected a wealth of evidence, contacted the reviews site to try to work with them, got in touch with the media, and they also escalated the issues to the relevant authorities. On a wider scale not just about my own complaint.
I was regularly updated about the investigations, KwikChex asked for permission to proceed at different stages, by the same person throughout the process (thanks June), and I recently received a report with all the findings and actions taken. This is two years later, but I can tell that they put a lot of work into it during this time.
When I first reported the issue, I thought it was going to be filed somewhere the next day, but it's a very pleasant surprise that such complaints are taken so seriously.
