It is no understatement to say that a chance visit changed my life, I can't thank Karen and her husband enough for making my 5-year dream come true.
I was a keen mountain biker until I damaged my spine, long story short I was fairly immobile, surgery got me moving but it was a long road - my dream was to get back on my bike and cycle Haldon Forest. I tried several times on my trusty Whyte but I just didn't have the strength to complete even the blue route :0(
People suggested an ebike and I resisted (very strongly - I saw it as cheating, a weakness) BUT i was so wrong!
I called in on my way home from a shopping trip and had the pleasure of meeting Karen and her husband, Karen kindly loaned me her bike for a test ride.......it took about 10-minutes for that bike to change my life.
Needless to say I purchased the Conway Xyron and obviously went straight to Haldon Forest - the smile has not left my face for over a month.
Don't think for one minute the ebike does it for you, if you want a twist and go buy a moped. You can have as much or as little help as you choose, I sometimes turn it off as I go up hill because I still want the burn, I still want to build muscle and get my heart pumping but most of all I want to enjoy the ride.
I love my bike and can't thank Paul and Karen enough - thank you
