No delivery, chased it late afternoon via TNT who were supposed to deliver only to be told it couldnt be delivered because I had provided an incorrect address. Absolute rubbish as I have retained the confirmation email from Sloanes and TNT showing my correct address. This wasted day cost me over 450 in my lost wages and payment of staff.
I eventually managed to arrange with TNT to deliver to my work address next day as no one would be home, again nothing was delivered, I chased them again to be told they had tried to deliver to my home address but no one home!! FARCICAL. Especially as that address was allegedly wrong!
I contacted Sloanes direct to tell them I wasnt happy and could they ensure TNT delivered to my work address (as had been promised today, Tuesday) the next day, Wednesday, only to be told that TNT cannot change the delivery address, it has to be changed via SLOANES.
Dont these companies liase?
Ok, agree with SLOANES customer service that they will instruct TNT to deliver to me at work tomorrow (Wednesday), guess whatnothing shows up again by late afternoon so I contact Sloanes to make sure it will be with me before close of business only to be told bluntly that I wasnt at HOME so TNT couldnt deliver again !!!
You couldnt make it up!
Not even any apology, just a glib well I did change the delivery address .
Obviously someone is lying and no one involved is apparently capable of doing their job properly.
I expressed my annoyance and said I felt like cancelling, the reply was simply: Do you want to cancel or not?
Funnily enough I cancelled!
Appalling service all round, dont touch these clowns.
Unfortunately so often today the customer doesnt count, and I thought there was a recession and companies needed businessjoke !
Also, still awaiting my refund, probably take as much stress to get as the chair that never arrived!
UPDATE: To be fair, refund now arrived after one week.
UPDATE 23/2/23: In response to YOUR response to my review, trying to justify the ineptitude displayed by your chosen courier and your staff that supply the delivery instructions to couriers on a typo error at our end is totally unacceptable.
We live in LEICESTERSHIRE but have a NOTTINGHAM POST CODE as we live close to the county boundary, this will be the case for many addresses in the UK.
We were actually told initially that we had provided an incomplete address I.e.4 FROG as opposed to FROG LANE which the paperwork shows was not true, hence non delivery initially.
Any individual involved with delivery should be referring to the postcode for guidance therefore 4 Frog, Nottingham or Leicester would be irrelevant.
Trying to blame us for then giving you two more chances to deliver to a different (work) address (that you have managed to establish was definitely in Leicestershire, probably by the postcode) which apparently confused things further is a very cheap shot (the very work address that we lost money from on the original delivery date due to yourselves as stated in the original post ).
I suggest that you own your mistakes and stop trying to blame customers when you are found wanting.
Youll be waiting a very long time for us to reconsider our rating of your company
