D & A Hogarth Slab Lifting

After finding out that pretty much every room on our ground floor had sunk we needed professional help. Originally we contacted Geo Bear WHO ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH DARREN... Geobear arranged a video call back to my wife and Steve our wall and floor tiler and bathroom fitter/handy man. I came back to the property as i was out to find Steve and my wife talking to this guy from Geobear in a videocall who had absolutely no respect to either my wife or Steve and was very rude and basically was after ALOT of money. He was told by us the floor wasnt compacted properly and now has voids and has sunk.... The Geo bear guy ignored what we told him and said we need to get a team out and dig the ground up outside for 2k to 4 k to see whats caused it...Even though the problem was inside and we new what the problem was...the Geobear guy still wanted to get a team to come dig the floor outside for few a few grand. If we would of used Geo Bear...The guy we spoke to in a video call wanted us to pay him like 100k they are complete fraudsters. The only reason im mentioning about Geo Bear and to avoid them is because alot of Darrens previous customers are aware of them and how dodgy they are and i wamt to let people know NOT to use them AT ALL! Steve went out of his way and found us Darren at D and A Hogarth and contacted him. Darren came out and looked at all the problem areas and explained everything about what he does and what he can do. We could tell from how Darren spoke with us that he knew what he was doing.Darren then drilled a hole in our living room and put a camera down and shown me how far it went down and also the voids. We booked Darren to come out and i think it was 2 weeks later on 19th April 2023 Darren arrived an raised our slab.All of the problem areas was done in a day! I have told Darren face to face and over the phone just how greatful we are and cannot thank him enough. He is brilliant at what he does and has been a life saver for us.I filmed Darren raising our slab and even sent him the videos so that he can use them to show others what he does and help him show people what he does with his business its the least we could do for him . Darren is a friendly nice guy we had some laughs when he was here and even spoke abit about our passion for vehicles and he even treated us more of a friend than a customer. As for anyone thinking about using Geobear...DONT! Honestly use Darren instead . I would highly recommend Darren he is the dogs balls thankyou so much Darren Service: Flooring repair

I'm happy to recommend D&A Hogarth. The site inspection was thorough and gave me confidence that Darren knew exactly what he was doing. Although the concrete slab couldn't be completely restored to it's original position, it is now flat and stable once more.

We found Darren after searching for alternative companies after being quoted a small fortune by a national company using a name resembling a large furry animal! Darren quoted half the price and did a fantastic job and without any of the hard sell and 'we can do you a deal today' nonsense. Picture a 1970s bungalow in need of renovation with sunken concrete floors. Darren diagnosed the floor slab had been constructed on a poorly compacted and unsuitable base which had been slowly sinking over the last 50 years. Years of bodged repairs and filled cracks were evidence that it wasn't going to stop either. Darren and his team drilled holes through the slab at 1.5m intervals throughout the property and where he was able to, raised the slab to its existing level and permanently stabilise the floor using his foam injection system. The results were incredible and immediately noticeable. I have left this review until we had finished our renovation and extensions. Eighteen months later we are now finished and I have to say we are so pleased we got Darren involved to sort the floors out. The floors are solid and there has been no sign of any movement whatsoever since the repair. We booked Darren on the strength of other Google reviews so wanted to leave a thorough and honest review, albeit 18 months after the job. I would highly recommend him. Many thanks Darren.
