Sunday roast with the family, great friendly service - would go again They had a high chair for our grand child and not too busy either - not sure wy as it was a bank holiday

I will start with the positives. The staff were very attentive and the pub was very clean. There were infortunatly a few negatives. I booked Sunday lunch here as it was suggested on the open table app as a family pub; unfortunatly we as a family with 4 children were sat next to two tables of rather drunk and incredibly foul mouthed young men. Although the portion sizes where satisfactory the food itself was massively overpriced for the quality. Each dish had something that someone found unpalatable including reheated mash potato, undercooked pastry, slimy mushrooms and dry/burnt chocolate brownies. At a little under 4 for a cola drinks were a little extortionate. I also was not particularly impressed to find that the service charge added was over 10%. I would never leave a restaurant without tipping (between 10% and 25% depending on the quality of the meal and service); however, I do not agree that I should be 'told' how much to tip, especially given the fact that I was not overly impressed with the meal. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending this venue.
