I want to say a huge thank you to Ash Brook in Burghfield Common. From the moment I phoned you at 1.30 in the morning you couldnt have been more helpful, kind and reassuring. You made a horrible time bearable and I cannot recommend you highly enough.

From the moment I called Ashbrook following my Mums death they were kind, compassionate and made me feel at ease during what was a difficult time. They took control of everything and kept us updated throughout. Every member of staff we had contact with were respectful, kind and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Sarah met with us and went through the details of the funeral, she was considered, took time to get everything just right and answered any questions we had. We requested some obscure flowers and they went above and beyond to get them for us. I would definitely recommend Ashbrook to anyone who want a personal and compassionate funeral director. Terina and her team at Ash Brook Funeral Directors were a wonderful choice for the care of my loved one . They have a mention in the good death guide, which is why I chose them and I think it is well deserved. I did not want a traditional funeral and they really helped in every way to make a woodland burial a very intimate and special event. They were open to my own ideas and thoughts, not just with the funeral but with the way the body is treated beforehand, which is very refreshing. Terina did over and above what I expected at the burial , with a lovely small service including some poems (I never chose to have a celebrant ) and she delivered those with real meaning . Everything was discussed in detail at every stage . I felt my loved one was so well cared for there too, which was really important to me. I loved the way they gave me a wedding ring back all polished and beautifully wrapped too , which was not expected . Overall 10/ 10 experience. I had a non- traditional ceremony but with all the dignity that comes from a traditional one. I think they are a very caring and compassionate team with outstanding professionalism.

Should be shut down. My wife and I were sadly organizing a funeral for our baby son. It is widely known that a baby funeral comes at no cost to the parents in most circumstances, Terina tried to charge us approx.. 2,500!!! an absolute disgrace. The hospital, where our son was born, was horrified of our experience. We demanded a letter of apology and this came, no surprise to us it was hardly an apology and more of a 'covering their backsides and trying to justify their actions' this really proved their character. We were told that their professional services would cost 1700, that is making a few phone calls etc.. Also the costs were apparently high because of geographical reasons, not entirely sure how that means a grave digger could cost over 400!!! From the get go, so much disrespect, no empathy, no sympathy and their behavior was just a disgrace towards us as a couple. Do not use as you will be over charged and treated with the highest disrespect.
