Overstone Manor - Pub & Carvery

We had the carvery, which was awful! Yorshire puds were tiny, and rock hard! Roast potatoes weren't cooked properly, and were too salty to eat. The manager was very understanding, and refunded us.

Very nice place. Soft play for kids is very big advantage. Always not enough stuff. Sometimes waiting for up to an hour just for get a drink order from the app.

UPDATE re visit Tuesday 2 May 2023 Food was still great and the building was cozy and warm. Very thin on staff and no one behind the bar so I and other customers had to wait for what I regard as an unacceptable wait. I'd still recommend going but hope this was an exception to the normal. Previous experience.... We really like Over stone Manor, we've held our wedding reception here in 2018 and had many a visit with friends and family since. The carvery is very good, on the odd occasion you may find a certain bowl of veg slightly undercooked (in my opinion) but the meats have been cooked to perfection. I would recommend the carvery over the menu of food as the wait can be too long . The toilets and bar and play area are clean and tidy. The bar can be very popular at times and you can wait a while but that's to be expected and says a lot for how popular this venue can be . Parking is good you need to be careful when leaving as the country lane can have some fast traffic passing , so exit with caution. Wait 2 hours for meal after ordering.then tell u they don't have what you ordered, ok if you have carvery otherwise no communication with customer on waiting times
