I'm a regular visitor to Rye By The Water, a delightful bakery in Brentford, West London, and I have to say that it's one of my favourite places in West London. As someone who loves fresh baked goods, I can confidently say that they serve some of the best croissants in London. The croissants are light and flaky, with a perfect buttery taste that melts in your mouth. The ham and cheese croissants are a must try for anyone who likes a savoury treat that is moreish and indulgent. The baguettes and sourdough loaves are excellent. I wish they made chaussons aux pommes (hint ) What sets Rye By The Water apart from other bakeries, however, is not only the quality of the baked goods, but also the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The bakery's location, in a lovely oasis just off the main road by the river, is also a big plus, as it offers a beautiful view and a peaceful escape. I would highly recommend Rye By The Water to anyone looking for quality baked goods, friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. It's truly a hidden gem in Brentford. Will be back and back again. Parking: Parking can be tricky some weekends.

Amazing pastries, great atmosphere, all ruined by the absolute charmless person behind the till. We visited for the first time on a Sunday around lunchtime. Found it confusing that they were serving BBQ outside but people were eating it indoors as well, around displayed pastries. So we went to the till to enquire about a possible menu, or to gain some info on what was left. The Asian person behind the till was monosyllabic, rude, and arrogant. She pretty much replied to every question with yes and no and was completely unhelpful. It made our experience bitter and we just ate whatever we had ordered quickly and left. Well probably come back, as the food was really good, but they need to have a word with this person as she looked like we caused her a massive disrespect by just showing up at her till. Oof
