We all seem to lead such busy and hectic lives and the time I spent away on this retreat provided the perfect opportunity to give both my mind and body some respite. Set in the beautiful grounds of this wonderful grade two listed Rectory, I got away from all the stresses of everyday life, bringing myself back into balance and focus. I am already looking forward to my next Dorset Fitness Retreat! Activities include boot camps, yoga, mindfulness, yoga, outdoor swimming, paddle boarding and swimming the perfect opportunity to have a go and work at your own pace and level, whilst being encouraged to take part and challenge yourself!

We spent a fab week with Dorset Fitness Retreats mainly focusing on open water swimming. We swam at several bays around the Dorset coastline. We had excellent swim coaching from John Hodgetts at Efficient Swimming. We spent some time at indoor pools focusing on swim techniques and then put this into action in our longer sea swims. A highlight of my week was that I swam my longest and furthest swim of 2 miles from Lyme to Charmouth. Fully supported by John and Lucy we felt safe so it was a wonderful experience and an fab achievement. We also took part in various fitness activities including: Boot Camp, strength work, walks, runs, yoga all run well by the team. This made for a varied and interesting week. The venue and vegetarian food was very good. We met some lovely people and the team are brilliant at organising everyone, making sure all feel included and looked after. If you want to make new friends whilst getting fit and having fun then this is for you.

This retreat seriously helped me to get a grip on my fitness and make a commitment to my health. Frazzled from juggling work, family and home responsibilities, it was my own self care that went out of the window, with exercise becoming squeezed out of my schedule. The retreat reignited the realisation that exercise actually gives me energy, makes me feel better mentally and physically and makes me feel more confident about my body. Lucy is an inspiration and has gathered a team of experts who know their individual fields inside out. The atmosphere is really fun and you quickly get to know your fellow guests and form a bond. The team is super encouraging and get the best from you without being intimidating or pushing you out of your comfort zone.The food was delicious! Id recommend this retreat to anyone looking to have a healthy holiday in a beautiful setting, getting to grips with their fitness for the first time, or getting back into the right frame of mind to incorporate fitness into their life again.

I have recently been on a weekend retreat with Dorset Fitness Retreat where i did a number of activities such as bootcamps, yoga and even a open water swimming session. The instructors were fantastic and I really enjoyed the variety of vegan and vegetarian food which was so tasty. I will certainly be trying some of those recipes. The venue is beautiful with wonderful huge bedrooms with 4-poster beds. Thank you to Lucy and the team. I will certainly be coming back.
