Garth Cottage

This was our second stay with Mark and Val, and unsurprisingly it definitely won't be our last! Between being greeted with a drink and cake on arrival, the comfortable room with great views, the fantastic service, delicious breakfast and the great chinwags, you really can't do much better. It's more like staying with friends and family!

Just returned home after an amazing weekend stay at Garth Cottage hosted by Mark and his mum Val. My wife and I have visited on many occasions and love returning to this idyllic location and Garth Cottage where we are looked after with delicious breakfasts and evening meals. The location is right on the River Wye and offers stunning views and peaceful walks through woodland alongside the river with nearby canoeing and kayaking rentals if you fancy getting on to the river. A lovely pub a few steps away if you fancy a night out and a few drinks. Free parking right outside the b&b and peaceful at night for an uninterrupted sleep. I have no hesitation in recommending Garth Cottage for a relaxing get away from it all break.

My wife and I have just returned from five lovely days staying at Garth Cottage in Symonds Yat. We had a room with a great view of the Wye River and surrounding forest. The owners were very friendly and helpful, even cooking us lovely meals on two of the evenings. A great place to stay, with lots of activities such as; canoeing, walking and cycling in the local area. Thank you for a great stay.
