Throughout the funeral process the care and respect provided was outstanding. Janice, Bobby and Olivia are a credit to Steven Mears with whom I cannot thank enough for all their support, kindness and patience. With open arms they embraced me and my family with our grief. On the day of the funeral Bobby and his team where so professional and made what was such an unbearable day go smoothly. Sally the Celebrant was a star on the day too. They are truly an incredible team and I would highly recommend using Sydenham, you wont be let down.

We used them 12 years ago for my Mother and decided to go back again.
Initially spoke with Angela and then met with Olivia and went through the initial chat re the funeral.
Didn't really have to do too much after that , which was nice.
Bobbie and the funeral team were excellent and the whole funeral passed off better than expected- the rain even stayed away.
Thanks to all involved as they made what could be a stressful event pass smoothly and serenely!

I lost my father in December 2020 and was my first time trying to arrange a funeral. My Dad had funeral plan with Empathy UK (also a great company) who put me in touch with Steven Mears. From the moment I spoke to them they supported from coordinating the collection of my Dad from his home, to selecting the exact songs for the cremation (some a little obscure and not easy to get) through to the interment of the Ashes 6 months later.
They have kept us informed and update at every step of the way. The Funeral Director for the cremation was amazing and helped me feel reassured and that everything was in control on a very difficult day.
I have to give a special mention to Angela Austin who has been my main contact throughout the whole process and has sometimes felt like a guardian angel taking me under her wing.
In all under one of the worst events that can happen in one's life through the unprecedented time of the Covid lock-down all I can say is a big thank you to the team at Steven Mears in Sydenham for lifting a huge weight from my shoulders and definitely recommend them to anyone who has lost a loved one.
