I now buy polish bread there , a great range of meats, the small corn fed chickens, lovely, just right size for air fryer. A nice shop.

I went in today February 17 2023 to purchase bread and spotted some lovely doughnuts. I asked the man on the till if he could assist with what the labels said each type of doughnut were as the were in Polish. He said he and no one else could help! The last couple of visits told me something was not as it used to be, in the shelf fill becoming very gapped and lack of the helpful ladies buzzing about the place, but I did spot a lady at the rear of the shop. I asked the man who claimed he and no one else would be able to tell what the labels read, if the woman at the rear of the shop was Polish and if so would he call her? This he conceded to, she approached and warmly smiling asked how she could help me? I asked what the signs read, 'Rose flavoured jam in one and plum in the other'. I thanked her and pointedly said to the man, 'now that took little effort didn't it.' I also asked if those who opened and managed the shop had changed, she said yes, he said 'It's going to be a Nisa!". I went to pay, one bag of bread and one bag with two doughnuts, I was asked if I needed a bag. I declined saying both were in bags and they had plenty to hold on onto and was aggressively asked "how will you carry them home?' I showed him by picking both up with plenty of spare bag to wrap around my fingers. I pursued his line of enquiry asking was he giving bags away, in which case that would cost him and as it was unnecessary and a poor business practice or he was expecting me to concede to his poor logic in buying the bag which I plainly did not need, at which point he tried to walk of muttering he 'did not have the time'. I told him to stop, I pointed out I wouldn't trouble his move from a shop with smiling, bright eyed staff, with full shelves to his Nisa model of surly service and shelves needing stock to cover gaps, this would be because an alternative shop was available very close and I would take mine and suggest others take their business there. The look on the poor fools face, he will I fear learn the hard way and so will his unfortunate staff no doubt. Sadly I had to give it one star to post, but really it was not worth that number. Now it struck me how to pronounce Nisa, I'd suggest Neeza as in Geeza, which he clearly thought he was . . .
