A place where you have to be in each Saturday at 8:45 just for warm up and run starting 9:00.

A great little parkrun. A very friendly core team of volunteers. The A route is mostly on grass, so often trail shoes are the best option. The B route (to protect the nature reserve when there has been heavy rain) is a 2 lap out and back (including a little loop of the park on each) - sometimes I prefer this one as its on path and you get to see everyone coming in the opposite direction and offer works of encouragement If you are new to parkrun, just head to your nearest one. Just sign up online beforehand and don't forget to take your barcode with you - it's free and parkruns take place up and down the country every Saturday at 9am. At the end you'll get a finish token (don't take it home! Get it scanned along with your barcode and hand it back). No one is ever last at parkrun (there are tail walkers) plus now parkrun has launched parkwalkers so whatever your speed, if you walk, jog, run or a bit of everything you will find others there doing the same. You do get a weekly time and a finish position - but the only real race is with yourself and chasing your next PB. Sevenfields has a PB bell so each time you beat your previous best make sure to ring it loud. Sevenfields does not have a cafe BUT a lovely chap and his proper coffee van comes along most weeks (on the odd week he can't make it volunteers provide teas and coffee for a donation). The van has hot and cold drinks, snacks and sometimes even hot sausage rolls. There is access to the little sports building at the start/finish with a loo and a place to change if needed. Bikes can be locked to the fence. If you are a tourist, make sure you write where you are from on the whiteboard before the beginners briefing and always let the race team know if you are celebrating a big milestone such as your 50th, 100th, 250th parkrun.
