I've taken my daughter's school skirt for shortening and school logo to stitch onto blazer. Extremely rude behaviour. Expensive. Shabby work. I won't neither recommend nor revisit.

I took my daughters graduation dress to this lady in the hope that she could make some alterations. With just a week left to the ceremony I knew Id have trouble finding someone with availability to do the work. I was relieved when the lady agreed to help, although the price was expensive. I was told to collect the dress at 4pm the following Wednesday. I then received a voicemail from The Sewing Shop a couple of days later informing me the dress was ready for collection. Unfortunately when I arrived to collect the dress I was told the work hadnt been completed as my husband had called to cancel the alterations. This is untrue as my husband didnt know my daughter had chosen a graduation dress or that we were getting alterations done. Clearly the lady had confused my daughters dress with another customers. The dress had been unpicked on one side seam and then sewn back with a much brighter shade and very visible stitching. Thankfully I was offered a refund but the lady insisted I pay 5 for the work she had done to sew the dress back to its original form!!! I was so shocked I didnt question this and left the shop completely dumbfounded by the whole experience. I will not be using The Sewing Shop again!!
