Terrible Experience - Shocking attitude to customer safety and their vehicles. - Workmanship poor , newly painted wheels have what the Managing director describes as old tyre bead material trapped underneath the paintwork. - Manager of company is extremely Rude , as he gets Upset and challenges me loudly outside on the Public highway due to my use of the word feeling gobsmacked in my email sent describing how I felt about the quality of my refurbished wheels. - My SAFETY was compromised numerous times. Firstly when my tyres were put back on my wheels after they were refurbished the employee damaged a tyre and fits it without owning up. Then I visit Platinum again due to tyre deflating and they incorrectly diagnosis. I was sent on my way after being told it was some dirt in the value hole when the tyre should have been removed and checked correctly. After returning for the third time the workshop supervisor informed me my car tyre had been damaged by them and was too dangerous to drive and would need to be replaced the following day. When he found out their courtesy car was booked out already he changed his mind and said it was ok to drive on. If Id known the extent of the damage to my tyre I would have never driven it and nor should he allowed me to. Then yet again another visit for the tyre replacement only for them to leave my locking wheel key on the front wheel. Which was lost. They didnt seem to care and would only pay for its loss if I agreed to not write any comments of my experience online. - Company employee swears in front of me to describe the original employee who butchered my tyre. When I asked this employee why did he fit a damaged unsafe tyre to my car his response was because he is unliked by everyone and is useless. - Then on the same day as the tyre was changed I witnessed an employee drive a customers car at a break-neck speed down the industrial estate road. When I mentioned this to the owner he said its not the first time the said person has done this and he will be disciplined. - Failed promises to call back by owner. Even though they are quick enough to call customers to say there are additional charges for buckled wheels. When I told the owner my front wheels had been checked by BMW only days before the refurb his reply was we have staff that cant see the difference between a bucked wheel and one that just moves slightly when spun. After swapping emails with the manager of platinum alloys about my experience and highlighting the loss of numerous hours travelling backwards and forwards from my home to their depot which is a 38 mile round trip. The manager / owner has already tried to call me a liar on other reviews Ive left. All I can say is Ive got the photographs emails and dash cam video footage just as you have on your CCTV to prove all the above is genuine. No good-will gesture or payment for the lost locking wheel nut key has been offered without the need to attach conditions with regards me agreeing to not share my experience with anyone verbally or online.

Having dropped my car off Monday and been told the process would likely take until Friday I was pleased to be called late this morning (Wednesday) to be told my vehicle was ready to collect. I have the wheels refurbished and repainted gloss black. The wheels look brand new and I was very impressed with the customer service side aswell. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to refurbishments or colour changes on alloys. I do have a 2 VERY minor issues: My key was scratched a bit due to being in a bag with the locking wheel nut, the key wasnt brand new and with some cleaning and oil to bring back the plastic its good as new. It's a 6 year old key, it's already a bit beat up so not a big drama. My tyre pressures was quite high. They should have been 34 F and 32 R according to spec but were about 38 F and 38 R, not dangerous at all but a bit high. I have let them down very slightly which took all of 2 minutes. However both of these are very minor issues and to be honest they only stand out due to the great service and workmanship I received here. It's not something that would put me off this place though I might specify these issues be addressed if I ever came back. Definitely check this place out!
