Next Outlet Swindon is a disappointing shopping destination. The store lacks a proper changing room, which is inconvenient for customers. The clothes racks are often messy and disorganized, making it difficult to find what you're looking for. The staff are uninterested in helping customers, and the overall atmosphere is lacking in energy. Overall, a subpar shopping experience that can be easily improved with more attention to customer needs and tidier displays. Went in today, picked up 5 or 6 items, found out no changing room so just left. Their loss.

Visited the store yesterday (18/06/22) and the male cashier was very friendly however while taking the payment by my AMEX card it didnt go through, he politely asked if i could do chip and pin and yet it still didnt work. I said thats fine i can try my Visa (as some stores dont take AMEX) .. and it still didnt work. At that point i suggested politely that perhaps the machine is down. At this point, a blonde female staff member came over and rudely asked me do you have money in your card and when i said i do have more than sufficient funds in both cards she asked me if i was sure. She asked in quite a rude condescending manner aswell, i understand that sometimes they need to ask these kind of questions but one should have basic manners and ask in a different way. At that point, they took me to a different till and the payment went through.. the male cashier apologised but the rude female along with another member of staff did not say anything. I was shocked at the way they handled the situation and instead of thinking that it might be their machine error, they ask rude and loudly if the customer is sure she has money in her card.Personally, I felt like this was racial profiling to some extent and I was tempted to ask her if she wants to see my bank balance but i held myself back as i did not want to create a scene. NEXT needs to fix up on training basic customer service skills to their staff!
