My Mother has been a resident for a number of years. She has participated in various organised activities which have ranged from gardening, visits to nearby gardens in the home's minibus (nicknamed Ernie) and has been entertained by singers, visiting speakers, petting dogs and even Alpacas!. Her nursing care has been compassionate and respectful. She is very safe and comfortable in a well maintained bedroom which she has been able to introduce some of her own furnishings and photographs. Swimbridge House provides home cooked food from a very varied and nourishing menu . The introduction of a sweet trolley was a particularly well received introduction to meal times . Due to my Mother's deteriorating health she can no longer actively participate and her nursing needs have become more complex and she is now bed bound. The care staff and nursing staff are compassionate and attentive to he personal needs. They are well trained and have appropriate equipment to ensure my Mother can be safely repositioned for her hygiene needs. I hope this assists to provide the view of a lay man about the superb provision of care to my Mum.

We visit a relative who resides here in Primrose Wing. The first thing I'd say is how clean it is as you walk in. Their accommodation is excellent, comprising of bedroom/living area with extra guest chair, coffee table and ample space. Residents can also take own furniture and belongings eg TV (although supplied), pictures, small extra items to personalise their room. There is a private large wetroom attached which again is of an excellent standard. They have two shared living/dining room areas - when we visit we use a newly built one, comfortable and well furnished. Professional entertainment staff are employed to suit all. The staff are all amazing - management, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, nurses. Many go beyond their remit, so kind and caring. I'd strongly recommend a visit if a room is available and you're looking for a nursing home, this one has gone beyond my expectations.
