Take it for granted that the bed is comfy,the brekka tasty,the welcome friendly, the location superb and there is hot water in a tasteful shower.
What makes it special is the hosts. Now I talk a lot,possibly too much, but Geoff is a marvellous raconteur and our esoteric chats were memorable .......but don't start this if you want to get away early! Ask him about the 92 year old Aussie who lost his B and B until 4 in the morning .......and about the elderly guest who couldn't walk on gravel without wearing a helmet and knee pads. And his relationship with a pommel horse.
Also the lady guest who was teaching French to English officers at the army base ( mais oui, mange tous mange tous) lost her contact lens down the U bend in her basin. Step forward Geoff who will incredible dexterity for a big man managed to find this......and didn't charge her for the extra service!! Quelle gentilhomme extraordinaire.
And ,again for no surcharge ,we had a course in the art and science of mole catching from a charismatic and rather frightening lady mole catcher. Now that was an eye opener for the non squeamish! I know where to go now if I have mounds on my sward .
So ,when in Norfolk go to stay with Geoff and Sheila. It's an enjoyable experience for all the senses. Thanks Geoff and Sheila.
