I cannot thank Abdul enough, there is only one other optician (asda opticians at greenhithe) that I can honestly say that I have felt totally well looked after and went home feeling safe and confident about their professionalism, knowledge and that they definitely put the welfare of their customers before financial gain. Abdul also referred me to Spamedica for cataract surgery. Have had one done with Abdul doing the post Op check. Nothing has been too much trouble - absolutely amazing - thank you!!!

Had an eyesight examination booked for Sunday 24th Oct at 10am. Arrived at 9.50am when my mobile rang, sorry we have to cancel your appointment. Re-booked for Sunday 21st Nov. Got a call today (Tues 16th) to say sorry we have to cancel your appointment. Luckily I predicted that these clowns would do this and had already booked a test elsewhere just in case. A loyal customer lost. Don't waste your time with them. Asda is great for your bread and milk but can no longer provide a serious service such as optical care.

Amazing i had a really thorough examination after which i ordered a new pair of varifocal glasses. The glasses arrived within 2 weeks and where fitted, initially not being happy with the close reading i returned and was seen by a Mr Alex Gorman who simply adjusted them and clearly explained things to me. It's a shame they were not fitted correctly initially by a college. Wow what an amazing difference, for many years i've been coming away not entirely happy from other opticians returning again and again. I'm 73 and didnt ever expect to be able see so clearly again. Fantastic value for money should have used asda many years ago. Thank you Mr Gorman

As a cautious 1st time varifocal wearer, I have shopped around and requested quotes and product options from 11 places including Specsavers, Boots, Vision Express, Asda, John Lewis, David Cullow and 5 other independent opticians. My final decision was NOT based on the cheapest but by service, lens manufacturers and value for money. My search was based on supplying my own designer frame ( Dolci & Cabanna) and therefore my prescription price comparison would also include the hefty REGLAZING fee set out by each optician from 0-75, with Boots and Specsaver being the most expensive as the #1 priority for most opticians is to make a huge profit from their overpriced frames. Although apprehensive at first, I am really pleased that I have chosen Asda, which happens to be the lowest price of them all. My second shortlist with an independent optician for similar lens options would have cost me 275 (Varilux Comfort lens + Anti Scratch / Reflection + Transition), compare to 119 at Asda for similar options ( Shirmir lens + Anti Scratch / Reflection + Transition). I am truly impressed by the entire experience. During the telephone enquiry stage, Alex the manager made me feel immediately at ease, addressed all my concerns and explained the product + price structures really patiently. During my visit, I was carefully measured and treated with excellent customer care. Although the Asda lenses are supplied by Shimir and not the highly regarded Verilux, my eyes adjusted to them very quickly without any issue and they appear to do a superb job. Combine this with the huge price difference, I am really over the moon and would not hesitate to use Asda @ Swanley again in the future.
