        I had a lovely stay at the YHA Swanage, even if it was for one night only. The staff was very welcoming and gave me advice where to have a nice dinner. My room, with an en suite bathroom, was very clean. The building is perfectly located - you can see the ocean. It's just a short walk to the centre of Swanage and the beach, but it's still very calm - I woke up in the morning and heard the birds singing. Nearby activities: I can highly recommend visiting Durlston Castle as well as Corfe Castle.

        For the price, this place can not be beaten. My friend and I stayed here and the price was 35!! For both of us. You do have to pay for a towel in the morning for a shower, but its only 2.50. The room was nice and clean, clean sheets, clean room. The staff were nice enough, the night man was a little surly, but the ladies in the kitchen in the morning were lovely and super friendly. A full fry up was 9.95 and it was spot on. My only slight complaint, and it may sound stupid, but the beds werent the comfiest, which you expect for 35 to be fair, but the room was soooo hot. I guess its better than being freezing. But we came into the room and the heating was ok full blast and the windows open. We turned the heater off and the room had become a bearable temp by the morning. Like I started by saying this was the most reasonable place to stay by far in the entire area.
