Arrived to the hair salon (my first time going) and its certainly not accessible to those with mobility issues. My mum uses a walker and really struggled to go up the stairs. Had we known about this before we would have gone elsewhere. We got to the top of the stairs and walked through to the salon, which was a decent size and did look clean. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our appointment and neither of us was offered a drink. After waiting nearly an hour we eventually had my appointment. The hairdresser was really nice and even though she cut my hair well, she cut it a lot shorter than I asked. We still werent offered a drink, whereas other customers were. One of the hairdressers kept looking at me, rolling her eyes which really put me off and made me feel on edge and uncomfortable. Once the appointment was finished we went to pay and was told we dont accept card so we had to go into the town to the cash point machine. The customer before us also had this problem. There should be a sign on the door saying this, especially for first time people going to the salon. We ended up paying over bank transfer which was a lot easier. As we were leaving, we took our time going down the stairs due to the area being dark and mobility issues and I heard one of the hairdressers at the top of the stairs talking about me. We only went to this salon for the ease of being closer to home and dont think we will be coming back. I suppose this salon is great for those who are regulars but for people going for the first time its really not worth it. Services: Blowouts, Shampoo & conditioning
