AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Horrendous experience. Agree with all negative reviews on here. They take your money and do nothing. Since the firm was taken over by new owners (Spring/Summer 2020) I was unable to have any contact with any accountant for over 7 months, despite persistence on my part. The current owners do not answer the phone, they do not return calls (however much the secretary insists that they will), they do not reply to repeated emails asking for services to be provided that I have already paid for. They do not acknowledge or reply to formal complaints. They filed my SA return incorrectly (just seconds before the deadline - down to my persistence and the fact that I had been on maternity leave so had very little information to enter presumably) despite my repeated attempts to correct them, but Im still trying to correct their mistakes months later. They did not file my corporation tax return so I was forced to go to a new accountant and pay them again for accountancy services for a whole year which I have already paid Microbusinessteam for. I am now having to waste further time reentering bookkeeping information for my new accountant that I had already prepared and entered into KashFlow for these cowboys. Effectively Microbusinessteam have stolen a years worth of accountancy fees from me and caused me unbearable stress and headache unnecessarily. Tim, Annie, Rachel and his team don't do the job you pay for, they do absolutely nothing. They should be stripped of any professional title they have been given, its appalling they can be considered professionals still. Im relieved every time I just get an email response back from my new accountant now. This has been an incredibly stressful and time consuming, not to mention costly mistake. DO NOT give these people your business.

My accountancy services were sold to new owners and it's been a nightmare (trying to) deal with the new incumbents for months now. They don't pick up the phone, they don't reply to repeated emails asking for items that I have already paid for as part of my monthly direct debit. Given they didn't give us a year-end summary covering what we had to pay and when (which we had paid for) we were fined by HMRC which we were horrified about. Tim, Rachel and his team don't do the job you pay for and we will be laying a complaint with the Institute of Chartered Accountants accordingly. You have been warned DO NOT give these people your business.

Fully agree with all the feedbacks given here, it's been a nightmare to deal with the new incumbents since they took over. Don't pick up the phone, don't reply or just false promises (if by chance phone was picked up). Due to their error I had to pay hmrc fine of 200gbp, though I followed up but all in vain, now I am thinking of going to small claim court to get my 200 gbp from them. Tim, Annie, Rachel it was a very poor experience wasted my time in following up without any resolution.

What a farce of a company. Clearly they did have the infrastructure or staff needed to service the clients acquired through the MBT acquisition. The staff subsequently taken on appeared to be lacking in experience. I had to explain to one staff member how to use Xero, as information had been ignored that would have caused my firm a financial loss. I experienced a catalogue of poor service and broken promises. At times, I begged them to complete my returns within HMRC timescales. 1 returns was completed with hours remaining before the deadline. My favourite was being told that the completion of my company accounts/calculating the corporation tax due, 8.5 months after my year end, 'was not their priority'. I was told not to worry about paying my corporation tax within the stated 9 month deadline as HMRC had extended the filing period for accounts by 3 months due to COVID. This information was incorrect and my firm would have been fined had we followed MBT's advice. Shame there is not zero stars available!
