        We were invited to a family party here. It is a beautiful hall right by the canal. It was clean and very spacious. The kitchen area is well equipped with a lovely oven and hot water boiler. There was lots of tables and chairs. The toilets are very clean too. A lovely hall.

        A very good walk along the Chesterfield canal. If your feeling fit Park at the Chequers pub, walk down road to canal bridge you can walk around to the left and under the bridge, a very nice 3 floor next to the bridge. Personally I wouldn't walk to the right of canal towards the A1, its very uneven and puts you on wrong side for the pub, at the bridge you see Ranby Village Hall on your right go through their little garden and your on canal. Turn left and follow all way into Retford ( Asda is next to canal lock around hour and quarter walk from Ranby) I say park at Chequers pub you'll need a drink by time get back.
