Update. It gets worse, having got the tyre pressure warning light come up, I continued to drive slowly to get it repaired as I believed the car was fitted with run flat tyres as it should have been. However it transpires that to save money, the company replaced the worn tyres with cheap non run flats. Not only dangerous but against specifications. I wonder what else I will find. Poor after sales service. Sold me a car in a dangerous condition. Wheels were so far out of alignment they read off the scale when taken to Kwik Fit. This meant it was veering all over the place and uncontrollable when accelerating and braking. Other issues were highlighted within the first 2 weeks. I returned the car but they were unable to resolve these issues and claimed they couldnt find anything wrong. The car was taken to a specialist who found the issue immediately. Autotrade are now claiming there is no problem and have tried getting a legal team to scare me off. Unfortunately, the consumer rights act states the onus is on them to resolve but rather than admit to and settle the issue they want it protracted. Very poor customer service and I definitely will not be back once this issue is sorted. EDIT: In response to the owners reply. The issue was highlighted to them 2 days after purchase and the helpful solution was to use premium diesel and drive it hard for a bit. This obviously made no difference. It was highlighted that the issue was on start up only so wouldn't have shown on a test drive but a specialist found the problem immediately when plugging into diagnostic software. Regarding the tracking. The vehicle would not stay straight at all and when accelerating or braking, took significant inputs to maintain straight on the motorway. An inexperienced drive would have struggled and kiwi fit couldn't believe how bad it was. Any respectable garage would have checked this before releasing it and obviously shows how thorough their inspection is. The issue is now going through protracted resolution services and possibly small claims court. As if people have time to fight for what they are owed. Just avoid.

Just went down with a friend to buy a car. All I can say is that they are very honest. The car was serviced as it said it would be and the tyre changed to a new one
