Sutton Rose Care Home

Recently visited Sutton Rose, staff were very friendly and helpful, the home and facilities are wonderful and on site Bistro was a great touch. Lovely place lovely people.

My Mother stopped at Sutton Rose Care Home in March 2023. The Bed and bedding is unacceptable. A small Hospital bed with a thin Childs Duvet that is the same width as the bed. Its quite expensive and be prepared for a Language barrier with some Staff. Also leave precisely at the prescribed time on day of departure or you will be charged an additional day. We had a very poor experience using this home.

I have visited Sutton Rose Care Home on three different occasions to attend or deliver training courses. I have to be honest, every single person I met from reception,admin, maintenance, bistro and even the manager could not have been more helpful or professional, I was so impressed with how they went above and beyond my expectations, the warm welcome and positive attitude made me want to come back again. On one visit I arrived too early for training and decided to sit in the corner of reception out of the way, a member of staff offered me a cup of tea while I waited. Whilst drinking my tea, I witnessed a conversation between the manager and a hearing impaired resident, the manager was talking and using sign language and asking the resident to show her sign language for different greetings and they were practising together, the manager went on to ask the resident if they would like to do some sign language sessions for local children. At different times I have seen all the staff with that same caring, supportive and positive attitude, these interactions restored my faith in human nature. I always look forward to training at Sutton Rose, but after seeing how good they are, I would be proud to recommend Sutton Rose Care Home to family, friends and anybody who required their services. I had the honour of singing for a lovely lady on the occasion of her 100th Birthday 14th January 2023 Kerry engaged me in December 2022 for this booking from first speaking to Kerry I found her very friendly & enthusiastic. When I arrived at Sutton Rose I was greeted warmly all smiles by Kerry & the team, shown where I was to perform. Nothing was too much trouble. The bistro looked lovely a beautiful balloon arch plus 100 balloon display has been organised. The bistro was nice and busy YAY! An area for the birthday ladys family & friends had been set out just in front of me. I can honestly say everything had been considered. There were lots of staff on hand who engaged with other residents using the bistro whilst I sang they were holding hands singing along with them etc even dancing away they were so attentive. A lovely surprise was that the Lord Mayer Of Sutton Coldfield was invited too along for this special event I thought how wonderful that was. The food provided looked amazing! The atmosphere was joyful, happy & fun. I visit many care home/retirement venues this was by far one of the nicest places Ive come across Sutton Rose is more like a boutique hotel. Modern, light, comfortable & airer. I cant wait to be back to perform at the next event I thoroughly enjoyed myself it was so nice to see the residents enjoying themselves & so well looked after.
