Beautiful location - very well equipped - cosy and comfortable. Spotlessly clean - everything you could ask for. Short drive in to Market Harborough. Hosts were extremely kind. Nearby Wheel and Compass excellent value for money.

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Wickham house and I can thoroughly recommend it. The apartment is all on one level, with excellent accessibility. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. The fridge was already stocked up with essentials such as milk, butter, bacon, eggs, jam, bread - so no need to dash out to the shops. There is a nice and fully enclosed garden, including a patio area equipped with table and chairs. It is wonderfully peaceful and quiet, with a lovely view over open fields from the lounge and dining area. My visit was partly to catch up with old friends and partly to work on writing and drawing projects. It was perfect for this. Sutton Bassett is a small country village, but only 2 miles from Market Harborough where there are plenty of shops and supermarkets. The lovely little town of Uppingham is 10 miles along the B664. It's a lovely drive through undulating countryside and many of the houses along the way are built of stone - it's like driving through part of the Cotswolds. I am already looking forward to a return visit.
