Small little beautiful church where the preist welcomes you personally on the church doors with love and peace as you get in.

A beautiful church in Rotherite. The church replaces the one that was destroyed during the first blitz raid of the last war. Becoming the first church in England destroyed in the war. I was drawn to visit the church to see the Hans Feibusch mural behind the altar of the crucifixion and resurrection. The raised dead come out by the priests door. I am indebted to the parish priest, Fr Andrew Doyle who helped me visit on a Saturday afternoon. The Lady chapel has a beautiful statue of Our Lady. And in a glass case a Crucifix which was recovered from the bombed shell of the church, kept safe through the years and returned home. The church is a calm and peaceful space. It also has great acoustics for organ and recitals.
