Im so blessed that I had the opportunity to volunteer, definitely the best way to spend a weekend! I was surrounded by so many amazing people, with the same intention - to be able to help others that are in need. It was such a humbling experience and sooo fulfilling to see the reactions of people when we delivered the parcels. I think the work SPOT project have done and are still doing is incredible, they are not only thinking about the future of people less fortunate outside of the Uk but also people in our own communities who are struggling! Im definitely looking forward to helping out again IA!

Salam, I wanted to take this opportunity to make a comment on my experience as a sponsor to spot project orphans. I am sponsoring two orphans with the help of my fellow brothers and sisters as a result of a fundraiser. I must say to date this is the most rewarding thing I have done. The importance of charity is known but its so much more satisfying and fulfilling to be able to see where your money is going and the impact its making. SPOT is so transparent and I feel apart of the organisation as there is constant updates on the changes and improvements that are being made. I also receive emails and updates about my orphans, letting me know how they are getting on and their likes and interests; they have also drawn some pictures for me. Recently I traveled to the Gambia so I reached out to the team to be able to see the children I'm sponsoring. The team was so sufficient in making this happen and it was such a beautiful experience. It warmed my heart to see the children and to know that I was making such an impact, I spent a bit of time with them and also spoke to their aunt who takes care of them, which was amazing as she was so appreciative. Kadija (member of the spot team) was absolutely amazing, she was so warm and welcoming. I voiced my interest in wanting to be more involved in the charity and do and she told me that I could contact her and she would keep in contact with me. She is honestly so kind, friendly and warm and its just refreshing to know that such characters are running the organisation. I would love to visit the orphanage on my next visit InShaAllah. My overall experience has been wonderful and as a result I would love to do more and become more involved in SPOT InShaAllah.

Ive known for a couple of years now that giving back and charity work is something I want to dedicate my life to. Ive always just wanted to impact people and thats something that Spot Project does incredibly. Im so glad Ive aligned with genuine people with the only ambition and goal being - improving peoples quality of life. It was one of the most fulfilling things Ive ever done in my life and I remember walking home thinking, wow, I feel like I actually did something meaningful with my life today. My favourite part about volunteering is the fact that it doesnt just stop there with this organisation, they really want to take you on board and have you apart of the journey, so when I heard about the opportunity to go to Gambia next year and physically help out, I knew in my heart it was a no brainer. Looking forward to raising the funds and going in sha allah! I honestly feel like I devleoped an emotional attachment to the charity!!!
