The Minimalist Doula

I am beyond grateful for the support Jenna gave me and my family after the birth of my twin boys. She was so nurturing, loving and gentle with them. And the same with me! She was non judgemental and made me feel completely accepted but would also offer (much needed!) advice when asked. There is no way I would have gotten through that first year without her.

Jenna was our rock in our preparations for birth and throughout the birth itself. Any time we needed her, she was there to support us emotionally and physically. We chose Jenna because she was the only doula who listened to what our concerns actually were and who made us feel comfortable enough to be open about them - unlike others who we felt had more of an agenda. My son took his time to join us in this world and Jenna was there for every moment and seemed to foresee what I might need and was right there. I honestly can't thank her enough and she will always be part of our family in a funny way because of the bond we experienced.

I loved having Jenna by my side throughout pregnancy and birth of both of my children. She supported me by always listening and helping me finding answers to my questions (I would always ask her rather than googling anything!), and her reassurance helped me make the right decisions for me and my baby. She made me feel safe, secure, and made me feel heard. She was my doula, my friend and my family when I felt most vulnerable.

We had Jenna as our doula for the birth of both of our children and I cannot recommend her highly enough. My husband and I are not originally from the UK and we had no family who could come join us for the birth. We decided to hire a doula so we had the comfort of knowing someone was with us who understood the process, who could be an advocate for us and most importantly - offer care and support through such a huge life change. Jenna was fantastic - even despite the fact that I ended up having to have c-sections for both of my births. Her kindness and warmth with her guiding spirit helped us navigate complicated situations and empowered us to make the right decisions for our family.

Jenna is such an incredible doula, warm and supportive and made birthing in a pandemic such a wonderful experience. She was always there when I needed her and was so calming and really empowered me to have the birth that I wanted. I will be eternally grateful for her unending support. Id book her again in an instant, worth every penny!
