My husband and I were very pleased with the survey and service provided by Sam and Paul, all diligently managed by Karen. The Hannent team took time before the survey to have a call with us and my father-in-law (a retired chartered surveyor who is too old to do the survey himself, but had some concerns upon seeing the floorplans). The report itself is very thorough and highly specific to the property - including photos of relevant parts. I also felt it gave a very measured, sensible point of view regarding what should be expected in an old house (whereas friends who've bought houses previously said even their surveys of reasonable houses came back full of doom and gloom). We'd gladly recommend Hannent and work with them again if we decide to move, though hopefully we've now found our forever home.
