Took the little man I look after (age 5) for his first eye test. SUKI was outstanding and totally put him at ease. Thank you so much! Cannot recommend her and all the staff highly enough.

Very professional and enjoyable - yes enjoyable! - experience at Bayfields today. I had the eye test and the additional glaucoma/retina examinations and chose some lenses. As my Father has glaucoma my eye test was on the NHS so I only paid 35 for the addional tests (and paid for the lenses, of course!) All prices seemed very reasonable to me. As for help choosing the lenses, again a great experience. Helpful, genuine, non-pushy advice. And last but not least lovely person on reception. Smiley and helpful. Would very much recommend choosing this Bayfields.

I have been going to Simon Pestell for many years and booked an eye test with the firm that has taken over from him. He charged 40 for a standard eye test. I received a letter saying that he was retiring and Bayfields were taking over so I booked my regular test with them. I waited a long time in the shop after my appointment was due (over 30 mins) and then after the test I was very surprised to be charged 54 for a standard eye test! I had not had a photo of my eye taken. I strongly feel that they should have pointed out the price increase when I booked. The going rate is 25 to 40 and 54 seems excessive. I put 1 star because you cannot put no stars! Avoid this rip - off establishment.

Simon Saves The Day Simon Pestell and his awesome team bent over backwards to accommodate us today, shoehorning us into a non-existant appointment after my son lost his glasses just before his mock exams. They came highly recommended on a local facebook group and boy have they earned every single one of those recommendations! We certainly won't be going anywhere else and are delighted to have found them.

Have been going to Simon for many years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Love the continuity of seeing the same person every time.
