New Washington Post Office

i have just been into concord post office .. an old lady with dementia was struggling to bank her money and forgot why she was there and what she was looking for. the kindness of the woman behind the counter needs praised she came out sat the lady down calmed her down and reassured her that it would get sorted, Lovely to see that your staff still have time for old people . This touched me .. well done

Absolute joke this place! Numerous times the website said open but arrive to closed windows! That's me travelling to the galleries from now on, they have had their last chance this morning

Staff are nice helpful but they need more of them. Always massive queues at opening time. Only one person working this morning (5/1/22) with queues right out of the post office and to the entrance of the Coop. 9-5 opening hours and closed 1-2 for lunch make it really difficult to get there if you have a 9-5 job! There is supposed to be an option to drop at the Co-op counter which is open 7-10 but twice recently I've been to drop here and the staff haven't been trained in using the kit so the journey was wasted.

P.O ladies are a massive help. Lisa and Dawn always smiling! Co-op regular staff Sarah, the lady with bobbed hair are lovely. The young man with fair hair is a godsend. I have many years of management in customer services from M&S to Hotels and I hope his area manager sees this. Very polite, efficient, professional and adapts his behaviour to customer needs excellently! I will amend review as soon as I find out his name.

I work away from home so often get post sent to the post office using the Poste Restante scheme. I was told over a year ago by one of the staff that I can't do that, but when I challenged her she backed down and agreed it was a service the post office deliver. She moaned a few more times over the next year or so, and now she has refused the delivery of an important item so it has been returned. This has caused me a few days of upset and I believe she is doing this as Poste Restante is a free service and she does not want anyone to have anything for free. I can't afford the messing around and if I go in and challenger her they'll likely just throw me out cos no-one is allowed to state their case if they're unhappy. This is only the second time in 16 years I've had this problem, so I won't be going back either to the post office or the shop it's in, which I used to shop in regularly. Disgusting service from a mean and unkind woman.
