Washington Lodge Nursing Home

My Husband was terminally ill, and in a very bad way when he went into Washington Lodge. We could not cope at home but in Washington Lodge he was cared for with 24hr nursing and doctors on hand when needed. The staff were wonderful and we were able to visit whenever we wanted, Although my husband was only there for a very short time it was a great relief to know that he was being well cared for and with dignity.

My mum wasn't there long as she was terminally ill but the staff were absolutely brilliant so attentive and respectful till the end can't praise them enough thank you all so much xxx

My mum was looked after by lovely carers at the Washington Lodge in Tyne and Wear. One of them was crying when we came in a few minutes after she had peacefully passed away. It was a great comfort to her family that she had been looked after so well. Highly recommended.

Pretty slipshod in their job. Friend went in in a bad way after having dementia for 8mths. Sent to hospital without noting time sent, didn't even inform his daughter who's next of kin. Their excuse was it had been overlooked. They rang her the next morning - could have been too late by then. Wouldn't advise anyone else who cares to use this place - to my mind they'd be playing with fire.
