        Great museum in the centre of Sunderland. Fascinating exhibitions of the history of the city and surrounding area. Jewel in the crown is the wonderful Winter Garden. Really well laid out over a fairly compact area with fantastic plants and water features. Shame the lift was out of action to access the sky-walk but did not detract from the visit. Very well worth seeing.
