Visited today with my disabled, autistic Brother as he wanted to buy his Aunt a birthday present. When came to pay he handed over the book and his Works bonus card. Without even looking the assistant snapped at him he had to scan it on the card machine he became flustered as obviously it didn't scan. She then snapped at him "Well have you done it yet!" At this point I stood in I said,"You have mistaken the bonus card for a debit card." I in turn got snapped that "They don't scan " I said "I know they don't he has his card." She snatched the bonus card off me scanned it the banged on the card machine snapping, "Here!" My Brother had a badge and lanyard explaining his disability she took no notice, not interested we were a nuisance. Zero disability awareness, Zero disability training and in this day and age. Zero empathy or understanding. NOT EVERY DISABILITY IS VISIBLE!!!! My Brother was left upset and shaken. Completely disgusting. Carers be on the look out and my advice to disabled people avoid this branch of The Works.
