Amazing time in this Accomodation, lovely en-suites and the on-site team are amazing at any time. Amazing links through the uni and transport, great support in the first year when moving from home!

The Forge U-Student Village in Sunderland is without doubt the best student accommodation in the city. With spacious and modern rooms for such a fair price compared to other accommodations, it is definitely the best choice I made. After seeing other accommodations that my friends stay at, they also agree that the Forge is by far the best. Julie, the manager, and Sam, the secretary, are extremely friendly and helpful. I still remember my very first day in Sunderland and they answered all of my questions about where I could find what and gave me directions to a place I was struggling to find. One of my favourite things about the Forge is how easy it is to commute to and from university because the campus bus, which is absolutely free for students, comes here and takes you directly to city campus in five minutes and St. Peters campus in fifteen minutes and it runs quite frequently from Monday to Friday (8am-10:40pm). Moreover, the laundry facilities are available 24/7. If you report any maintenance issues, Malcolmthe kind maintenance team memberfixes it very quickly without any additional charges. There are a lot of great social spaces available to use like The Meeting Place and the cinema room. The Meeting Place has a ping pong table, table football and other games. You can book the cinema room for movie nights with friends. The shop is extremely convenient when you need to quickly grab something last minute, but dont have time to go to the store as its open everyday. Not to mention how friendly the shop manager, Elaine, is. With staff on-site 24/7 especially the kind security guards, Paul and Colin, always letting me in when I forget my keys one too many timesIve always felt safe. Coming all the way from Canada to an unfamiliar place, the Forge quickly became my home and all of the accommodation team members friendly faces I look forward to seeing each day. There is no other place I would highly recommend in Sunderland.
