I visited Penshaw Car Centre in January of this year. I wanted an interim service, change the filters, aux belt and -*removed*-. After the service, the car seemed to be OK, but the belt was still making a noise. I chalked it up to being new and it would settle down the screeching noise. 9 months later, front spring again making a noise. I take it to a more local garage, who unearthed a huge issue. Part of the wheel hub that the spring connects to has broken off, and clumsily welded back on. The garage I took it too said it was dangerous to drive and surprised I hadn't crashed it yet. -*Ive removed the specific spring issue as this wasnt done at Penshaw. However, during an interim service, and MOT, the dangerous hub wasnt picked up or mentioned by Penshaw Car Centre.*- Last week, I realised I was getting bad fuel consumption. I opened the bonnet and removed the air filter, which was black and damaged. Only 2k miles have been on it since the service, I showed a friend, he guessed 15k miles on the filter. Apparently, Penshaw dont include changing the air filter as part of the interim service. It should, however, be checked at the interim service and advised upon. This wasnt done. To summarise, fan belt still making noise, dangerous wheel hub, air filter not changed or advised upon. Dissapointing, all said. Penshaw Car Centre came well reviewed and recommended by a friend. I won't be going back, and will warn anyone, who asks, about my issues. *I have removed some issues that werent relevant as more info has came to light, and apologise to Penshaw Car Centre for this specific issue* 2 days after writing this review, Penshaw contacted me and told me to remove this review, otherwise they would take further action they did not try to get the bottom of the issues, or explain anything only threaten me.
