Fantastic service. Huge thanks to William Phillips at the rental department. Very helpful and speedy efficient service given and drove away within 20 minutes of arriving at the branch. Van was spotless. Van drove faultless and for the price paid for extra long wheelbase, considering van was almost new, piece of mind driving unlike competitors offering substandard vans of age for not much less than Arnold Clark charged for a quality van. Why risk getting a high mileage unmaintained van from small van hire companies. Worth paying the few pounds more for the excellent service and knowing its a top quality van. Definitely using Arnold Clark on a regular basis now. Great value for money

Doesnt answer the phone, no information on the website about phone times, the booking system doesnt work and no message about why. This wasnt smooth

After a disappointing experience with Huddersfield branch resulting in a failed car delivery, I needed a car as soon as possible. On the off chance I went to Arnold Clark Birtley car hire to see if they had any vehicles available. The team went above and beyond and turned a car around in 30 minutes. Baring in mind this was less than an hour before they closed and the available car hadnt yet been prepped. The process was seem-less and I could see how hard the team worked. They turned a very stressful day and a negative experience with the Arnold Clark brand into a positive. The car was spotless, almost brand new and had a really good spec. Im really grateful to the Birtley hire team, I highly recommend them and will absolutely use again if I need a hire car/van.
