Refurbished a cottage for me which originally I thought was reasonable but how wrong I was. The start of my problems was when the tilers couldnt tile the bathroom walls and floors because they were so out of alignment. They had an absolute nightmare but eventually with remedial work they managed to salvage an half decent job at my cost. Then there were problems with damp and condensation because parts of the damp proof course failed. DP Builders were completely unhelpful so parts of the plaster had to be removed and replaced and a positive air unit had to be fitted again all at my expense. Coloured rendering discoloured after two years which needed to be repainted with masonry paint once again Mr Peverley didnt want to know. And now for the ultimate nightmare, the kitchen floor which they installed only fourteen months previously dropped. I contacted Mr Peverley who attempted to shore it up on two occasions with various methods and each time it dropped again within weeks. I contacted a local joinery firm who had to remove a brand new kitchen and take up the floor and when they did they couldnt believe what they were witnessing. Most of the 6 x 3 floor joists had completely rotted where they were touching the wall because there wasnt any DPM to protect them. In addition to this they were being supported by roofers 2 x 1 lat at the perimeter which had also rotted away. This cost nearly 2,500.00 to repair which when confronted by the evidence Mr Peverley agreed to pay. To date despite this company costing me thousands have only reimbursed me 1,000.00. Mr Peverley or Don as he is known has told me I shouldnt have even had that as he doesnt guarantee his work excluding damp proofing for more than 12 months. You would never know this because it isnt on his written estimates, invoices or his receipts because he simply doesnt provide them. If you want my advice, pay more at the front end and use a reputable builder because my experience with this company has been the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If his word is his guarantee its worthless.

My review is based on my own personal experience having done electrical work in the past I have provided for DP Builders. I dont normally do this kind of thing as I have done work for a lot of local builders but I can only say I have done and I always recommend them to anyone who wants a good professional job done, trust me I wouldnt recommend anyone ( even family) if I didnt think they were capable and or professionally capable of doing any kind/type of building project. (Donny) is genuine and trustworthy, honest person with a caring attitude towards you the customer and the actual project hes involved in for you personally. So if u have any jobs, no matter how small the tasks give this guy/company a ring and I promise you will not be disappointed with the work they will carry out and the personal one on customer service they will provide. 5* company and Ive only done work for them so thats how impressed I was to see them and how much of a hassle free customer service and hassle free project for you the customer. What have you got to lose?? P. Martin (electrician)
